Potluck and Bake Goods Auction!

This weekend was filled to the brim of things to do! Marshall started Saturday off by going and picking up our brand new mower! We DESPERATELY needed a new mower! We have 4.5 acres to mow and we had a old mower that was bound to fall apart at any minute! Every time you made a left turn to sharply, and by sharply I mean a turn period, the wheel would get caught under the deck and you would be leaning to the right about to tumble to the ground! Thankfully this year we were able to get new one! We got last years model but it is high tech and great for us! It's never been owned or used and it will get used tremendously come mowing season. I will get a lot more mowing down with this mower as I do not have to turn like I am driving an 18-wheeler. Although it isn't a zero turn, it's pretty close! :-)

Oh, and he stopped by the furniture store to pick up our new coffee table, without a glass centerpiece, and two new end tables! We ordered our furniture Friday and are praying that it comes in sometime this week. We enjoyed the spring-ish weather too! We took a our gift to a friend of ours that had a baby Friday..she was still in the hospital..and thankfully my mom was one of the nurses working. Holding that brand new baby boy just made my itch for a new baby stronger. Ha!

Then we made a quick trip to walmart and bought some much needed things for our house! A fire extinguisher, a shoe cabinet and several other things to clean up/fix up our house! :-) I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new cabinet for our shoes at the backdoor! I love it, it hides all of our shoes and it looks so neat! (as in organized)

THEN, we went down to Daddy's and Dana's to visit with them for a couple hours. We had chicken spaghetti for supper down there and then headed home to put together the cabinets but we wound up playing cards with the kids instead!

Sunday morning Marshall and I got up extra early to make chicken spaghetti for potluck so that we could participate and Annslee would have something to eat! It was a great fellowship time and we are blessed with a GREAT church family! After the evening services, we had a baked goods auction for EIM ministries. EIM ministries is a ministry that Calvary Baptist supports and it is a blessing to watch God move in this ministry. We made OVER 2,000 in the auction and because of this Zack Plair and Robin Hairston will receive a pie in the face Wednesday at AWANA!! :-) God MOVED greatly last night because our goal was 1,000 dollars and again, we raised OVER 2,000 dollars. Praise you, Jesus!
